I so enjoyed reading this! And yes, you absolutely have to continue - this is one tradition you shouldn't break with. Poor kid though xD I agree - my mum's generation used to tell a lot more jokes than we do now, and just engage in general silliness all around. I remember an interview with an actor I like, about my mum's age, talking about how important it is to keep doing these things - practical jokes, puns, silly voices, weird walks, everything and anything that would keep you young and provide some comedic relief. It's vital (especially these days!). I've tried to stick to that.
