Further to my last post here are more images of Persepolis Iran. These photographs were taken during a 2009 visit to commission equipment in a food factory.
I visited Persepolis twice while there as although in ruins it takes a long time to see everything. It is a major tourist destination as are the various tombs that are fairly local to Persepolis. A place well worth a visit although not easy to get to see these days.

The approach is enormous and follows the original road to the palace. I can only imagine how it would have looked 2000 years ago.

This is the centre of the walkway shown in my last post. The walkway wall depicts the different nationalities visiting the Shar and the gifts they brought with them.

The rest of the images show views of the wall with the various visitors and gifts for the Shar. The quality of the carvings is clear to see. It is surprising how well preserved they are, considering how the rest of the site has deteriorated over the years.
