CRO was one of the most hated coins in the market during this bull run (due to a few dirty tricks Crypto.com team pulled up their sleeve last year, most notably MCO swap).
But their latest announcements shifted the sentiment towards this coin almost 180% (at least in their subreddit).
Burning 70% of the total CRO supply was a very bold move IMO. 20% APY for validating their network (which will launch on 25 March) through their DEFI wallet is also a very attractive option. And the best part is that they made it easy to do that through their DEFI wallet with any amount.
Also they claim that they have doubled their user base from 5 to 10 million in just last 4 months. I actually believe those numbers, because they do have the best domain in the market and their app is great too!
What all this stuff means? IMO - huge demand! But I am looking at all of this from a point of a consumer. And as a consumer I really like what they are offering. Just today I received my Royal Indigo crypto card.
I've been using Ruby card for a few months and I was very happy with it, so I decided to upgrade it just before CDC hiked stacking requirements for the cards a few months ago. And now I am getting 3% cashback, free Netflix and free Spotify (just in time for that Rogan move) :) That is insanely good rewards IMO!
Also I really enjoy earning 6.5% interest on my BTC (yes, I know, most of it is where I hold my own keys, but part of it I hold here, other part on Blockfi).
With that being said I would be interested to hear your opinion about CRO. Especially from technical people. Will CRO really be decentralized after this burn as Kris (the CEO of crypto.com) is claiming?
