Any taxes are too high, and they never go away, so freedom is relative. Do I consider myself free? Yes, but there will always be taxes to be paid as long as we own the property, which makes it less free.

That was my thought. I hope it was just clumsy wording, but I wanted to clarify that anyone who has any interest at all in homesteading is part of the community in my book. Thanks for the comment.

This is mostly pasture for our cow, but I do have a large garden. If not for the property taxes I'd truly be free.

They think this meteor was about 6 feet in diameter but exploded before hitting the ground. I think they said the one that did in the dinosaurs was like six miles across.

I love our cow, pigs, and chickens. I have decided on our ducks. We sold our sheep, we just didn't do anything with them and they ate hay in the winter so it was a cost reduction.

That is a very noble goal. I'd love to have enough surplus to give away like that. Maybe some day. I suppose when these fruit trees start producing I will have more apples/pears/cherries than I know what
