These are what I learnt from the Bible study taught by Bro Eliseo Soriano, kindly watch the video below:
SALVATION
Salvation comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God. The knowledge of men put together cannot bring about salvation but the knowledge of God. And it is necessary for us to have the Spirit of God in us to be able to understand the word of God.
Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
What are needed for Salvation to happen:
A preacher (sent by God)
The word of God
The people that need salvation
The intervention of the Spirit of God that gives understanding
The faith to believe and called on the name of God in order to be saved.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Salvation is not wealth nor riches but it should be our first ambition as human being before attaining any other ambition in life. Be it Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher and so on we must first make sure that we are saved.
Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Salvation is a gradual process and it is not that simple. Salvation by Bro Eliseo Soriano is to be able to serve God eternally even after death (that is in the afterlife).
Shalom!
