This is what I learnt from the Mass Indoctrination.
Dressing is very important in the church of God. It is part of the doctrine of Christ, we must not dress to attract people especially women, we must dress decently and appropriately. It leads to the two kind of beings that we have and how to adorn both.
We have the outer being, and the inner being, the there are differences between both. The outward man is the flesh/body, the one that can get old, afflicted and perish.
But the inward man is our spirit-man which is strong and eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
We are made to understand that some men has only the outward being their inner being is not man but a beast, but they look human on the outside.
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
The meaning of man in the bible:
Man is what God created after his own likeness and image. Man is not evil, but once a man have a beast in him then he becomes evil, these are man who hate and doesn't want the law of God.
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Romans 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man.
One who has an inward man is delighted and happy to do the law, just like David.
Psalms 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
It brings delight to the heart that you are able to help your fellowmen as a man who has inward man. Not that you are boasting of it or bragging about it.
How to discern if there's an inward man in you or a beast:
If you respect people, kind to others, care for them and help them, keep and obey God's commandment, then there's an inward man and not a beast. But a man that kill his fellowmen, do evil to them, blaspheme them, rape his own daughter has a beast inside of him.
What should we adorn our outward and inner man with?
Human beings love to adorn their outward man just because they can see it, especially women. They adorn almost everything in their body: face, hair, ear, leg, fingers, neck even navel.
1 Peter 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
Among Christians, adorning hair is prohibited. Many have cancer because of the chemicals they applied on their body.
The skin has two functions:
One is to excrete, the other is to absorbs
Don't apply what you can't eat to your body, it is dangerous and keep away from chemicals that can cause cancer use alum instead, for your spiritual, physical/health benefits.
Why does God prohibit Women from wearing jewelries:
It can endanger your life and even cost your life.
What is the spiritual result of wearing jewelries:
You remember only your jewelries and forget God. Also if you use all those ornament then you are boasting that you are rich, then you will stink instead of having good scent before the Lord.
Isaiah 3:24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.
What God want is your natural body, a modest apparel, the one that will not reveals your body. Be contented with your natural body.
Romans 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it , Why hast thou made me thus?
Romans 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
The inner man is to be adorn with the word of God, the incorruptible apparel is the word of God to be wore by the inner man daily. It must be renewed daily.
1 Peter 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array.
