Yeah, after almost two months on Steemit, it's clear the platform faces some issues. The Steem blockchain is an early iteration of an extraordinarily capitalistic-opportunistic environment, where any and all can participate and experience outcomes on a very short time frame - something that is arguably the very first of its kind.
We know we're here to see a return on our time, as we should be. But the medicine Steemit needs, and something we can all focus on, is more (human) users on Steem.
I know we've got problems with bots and whales - but what we need Steemit-wise is more humans.
As for the price and trading volume of Steem, well, that seems to be taking care of itself!

I wrote a thing to try to explain how to sign up for Steemit but I don't know if it's any good, either way I'll keep trying to spread the word about this weird wonderful place.
