I'm also a trained artist, and I agree with your sentiment. I have struggled to articulate just how transformative and democratic this process is going to be. Goes all the way back to the Tyranny of Images by Magritte :)
Then Paul Delaroche saying painting was dead upon the invention of photography.
People just need to understand like any new tool, artists will use this to thrive and proliferate their ideas and representational forms.
