The one thing that I will miss is the sensation of hitting a clutch and changing gears while accelerating. I recently changed to an auto from my manual, and while I have paddle shifters, its just not the same - and I am by no means driving a performance car.

I'm driving a 2023 Mazda 6 wagon and will let it see out its days before I inevitably get an EV.

The romanticism that we have for petrol vehicles and the performance of rolling explosion machines is something I don't see vanishing any time soon, though.
