Now back to our interviews. 😀 We want to sharpen your senses for HIVE musicians, that´s why we made it our goal to interview a new musician every week.
There are a tremendous amount of very talented musicians on our HIVE Blockchain. Too many of them are going unnoticed. We at HMVF and Blocktunes are here to change that. Our interview series will let you get a look behind the curtain of some of these artists. Their music, their process, and their goals. Let us come together to support the music of HIVE.
Of course these posts will also have the purpose of collecting funds for HMVF, to be able to create as many music videos for these awesome artists as possible. 🎵

This week´s musician is LAVINIA 
Lavinia is multi-talented musician, who plays several instruments. She combines these instruments, to create a very unique sound, and especially the Handpan gives her songs a very special touch.
I thought Elliptique sounds very nice but my first Single I published under the name “Lavinia”, which is my first name. 😊
It’s – complicated. 😄 I think with new music it is often not easy to put it in one specific category but since I play Handpan it has a dreamy and soft part. With guitar and drums I add a rock element and in my new song I added some synthesizer which gives it all a psychedelic touch.
I listened to a lot of rock and metal in my youth like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against or Bullet for My Valentine for example but the last years more electronic and psychedelic influences came to my life, such as Shpongle, Ott or Carbon Based Lifeforms.
Mostly I improvise on my Handpan until I find a nice melody or chord progression and then I build a song around it with other instruments, like finding a fitting drum beat and guitar melody.
A good feeling, inspiration for dreaming and sometimes the urge to dance. 😊
It helped me already! I can reach many people with my music, find others to connect with and I can also get a little financial support for all the time and work I put into my music.
Do what you love and keep going even though at the beginning only a few people will know you.
Who knows, right? 😉 I am open for anything but I hope for more cool projects, live concerts, meeting great people and other musicians and just having fun with it.
