this is our weekly interview post. We want to sharpen your senses for HIVE musicians, that´s why we made it our goal to interview a new musician every week.
There are a tremendous amount of very talented musicians on our HIVE Blockchain. Too many of them are going unnoticed. We at HMVF and Blocktunes are here to change that. Our interview series will let you get a look behind the curtain of some of these artists. Their music, their process, and their goals. Let us come together to support the music of HIVE.
Of course these posts will also have the purpose of collecting funds for HMVF, to be able to create as many music videos for these awesome artists as possible. 🎵

This week´s musician is 
If you have been on HIVE for any amount of time I am sure you have come across Groove Logic and his many alter egos. This is the same true HIVE OG known as 
Somehow among all this he has time to create some amazing music for our ears. His electronic sounds cover all corners of the genre from Chill to all out bangers.
Well, I tried a couple of different DJ names but nothing ever stuck. When I was breaking off into production versus just Djing I wanted to drop the whole ‘DJ’ thing from my name so I came up with a whole new musical persona. I am a very logical thinker and I love some melodic grooves, so one day the name just came to me. I wanted something simple and easy to spell because, in the world of electronic music, there are so many weird spellings that people often mispronounce the name, I wanted it to be easier for people, lol. So Groove Logic was born alongside my first independent record label, Pure Logic Recordings.
Well, that’s a big one…Electronic, lol. I am really all over the board. Drum and Bass is where my heart is, but I have ventured off into some dubstep, instrumental hip-hop, breakbeats, trance, and house as well. I like it hard and dark, but it has to have style and melody too.
One of the most influential artists for me is Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. He can do just about anything in a studio and on stage. He is the brains behind that band and forever has inspired me. In the DJ/Electronic world, going to have to say people like DJ Shadow, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, and John B.
It all starts with the drums for me. I like to establish a main beat first and go from there. Gotta have a pulse. After that, really nothing set in stone as far as a process is concerned, just get on Logic Pro X and let it happen. Usually, I like to establish bass and primary melody after the drums. What I like to do is create a 8 bar loop and put sections together. Once I have the sections somewhat established, I then will arrange and put it all together. Then comes the mix and master. This is a forgotten art all on its own, and is one of my favorite parts of the process.
Just want them to feel good. I have been tuning my songs lately to 432Hz.
It’s helped me earn more just by sharing work without ever even putting it out using distribution channels. It’s a way to open up earning potential more and more for independent artists. This is why I built BlockTunes (
Never give up on your dreams and do whatever it takes to make them become reality. Learn as much as you can, mess up as much as you can, then you will eventually find your direction.
Well, I have a lofty goal of producing and releasing as much music as possible over the next year and working on promoting that as well as BlockTunes so that we can all go to the musical moon together! The goal is to release 1 song a week for the next year, whether that happens or not is one thing, but it will be fun to try!
