Here most professionals spend more money on transportation than they can possibly afford. Many people walk long distances to avoid paying buses. Subway service is terrible and motorcycles too dangerous (tons of people use those anyways).
It is also very stressful to have to wake up too early and spend hours on the road to guarantee punctuality, espcially in big cities.
