That's a great story, especially considering that many people want to problematize the racially loaded nicknames. Our nicknames, especially the race-race related ones always have a context and in most cases they are harmless and actually full of affection. Yours is a good example. I found the one you give to your husband very funny. I guess he is never almost mad about that.
