The Kyiv funicular connects Podil and the Upper Town in Kyiv.
Until the beginning of the 20th century, the Upper City could only be reached by a wooden staircase, so with the development of urban transport, the question of building a lift was one of the first. So, in 1905, the Mikhailovskaya electric cable car went into operation. By the way, all equipment and rolling stock were made to order in Switzerland.
Today, the Kyiv funicular is not only a convenient and fast mode of transport, but also a historical mode of transport, which tourists should definitely ride.
I hope that peace will come to Ukraine and my hometown will be able to hospitably accept tourists.
