Hello friends.
This is my first time writing a post in the travel community, so let's get to know each other!
My name is Lina. I'm from Ukraine. I really love to travel, write books, read books and keep my own blog.
For some time now, my phone has been grumbling with displeasure, scolding me for a large number of photos in the photo archive, so I consider it necessary to start sharing them with you.
It's a pity that I didn't get to know this earlier, one of the most interesting communities on Hive. I really like to visit new interesting places and photographs with other people's travel stories are also interesting for me.
Today, with the help of photos from my photo archive, I want to introduce you to the small, cozy and very picturesque Austrian town of Steyr.
This is an old city in Austria. The city is located on the banks of the Enns River at the confluence of the small river Steyr.
I arrived in this town late in the evening. Yes, what is there, almost at night and clearly remembered how fabulously beautiful the night lights in the old style illuminated the river embankment. They seemed to draw a river from the darkness.
This town can hardly be called small, because its population is about 37,952 people (January 1, 2021), with the City Square - 26.56 km².
At the same time, the city is quite calm and not overloaded with high-rise buildings or high-rise residential buildings.
I just remember it as a town stretched along the river with private houses scattered on all sides.
It was striking that solar panels were installed on the roofs of many houses, which eloquently testifies to the frugality and thriftiness of the inhabitants.
Unfortunately, during the short period of my stay in the town, I did not have time to get acquainted with all its sights, but I can tell a little about what I managed to learn firsthand.
An arms factory has been operating in Steyr since 1864. Currently, this company, called Steyr Mannlicher GmbH & CO.KG, is engaged in the production of hunting weapons, sniper rifles and the Steyr AUG assault rifle.
The economy of the town is quite developed and in such a place it is not difficult to combine work and a quiet life. The city is home to BMW enterprises, trucks, electronics, medical equipment and a developed service sector.
In 1980, Steyr celebrated his millennium. To this date, the historic city center has been completely restored, making Steyr one of the best preserved ancient cities in Austria.
I hope my story has awakened in you a thirst for new travels and meetings with interesting places.
