You seem to know a lot about the Hive ecosystem for someone who has just joined it.
I suppose that you can blame that "user" for scamming you to buy an account, since the creation of accounts on Hive is free.

I see no reason why someone would like to use/buy a 7-year-old account unless they have been prevented by free account creation services from creating a new account on Hive for some reason (abuse?).
