As far as I know, that was not an appeal that was supposed to be given to you, according to this case.

I have no recollection of granting you the appeal.

This is not self-service, deciding that you will do it for 7 days.
Your mass recycled-spam farm was refusing to stop for at least a year. Hundreds of HBD were farmed. The account was actually supposed to be permanently blacklisted.
You were given a chance to appeal. It does not mean that you just decide and state that you have given yourself 7 days of appeal.
