HiveSuite Launch Loading Screen

Instant Branded Startup Experience

A new instant startup splash screen has been added to HiveSuite.

The splash screen appears immediately when the application starts and displays the HiveSuite logo, providing users with a clear visual identity instead of showing an empty or partially loaded application.

This creates a more intentional first impression and makes the startup process feel like part of the application experience rather than a temporary technical loading state.

Animated Progress Bar

The new splash screen includes an animated progress bar that provides visual feedback while the HiveSuite application is loading.

Instead of leaving users wondering whether the application is responding, the progress animation communicates that the startup process is actively progressing.

This is especially useful during the initial application boot process when React and other application resources are still being initialized.

Rotating Loading Messages

The splash experience also includes rotating loading messages.

These messages provide additional visual feedback during startup and make the waiting period feel more dynamic and engaging.

The combination of the HiveSuite logo, animated progress indicator, and rotating messages creates a more complete branded loading experience.

Smooth Application Transition

Removed Initial Blank / Gray Screen

The previous initial blank or gray loading screen has been removed.

Users now see the HiveSuite splash experience immediately instead of encountering an unbranded screen while the application initializes.

This small change significantly improves the perceived quality of the application because the interface communicates what is happening from the first moment of startup.

Smooth Fade-Out

Once the React application has successfully loaded, the splash screen now performs a smooth fade-out transition.

This avoids an abrupt change between the startup screen and the main HiveSuite interface.

The transition provides a more polished handoff from the loading experience into the actual application.

TypeScript Splash Dismissal Support

TypeScript support has also been added for splash screen dismissal.

This ensures that the splash lifecycle and dismissal behavior remain properly integrated with the application's typed codebase while reducing the possibility of inconsistent startup behavior.

HiveSuite Scratch Card Access Restriction

Frontend Access Control

Access to the Scratch Card feature has been restricted for specific account types.

The Scratch Card is now hidden for:

  • Web2 users
  • Web3 users

This prevents these account types from seeing an option that they are not eligible to use.

The restriction is applied directly within the frontend experience so that the feature does not unnecessarily appear in the interface for restricted accounts.

Backend Eligibility & Security

Web2 and Web3 Eligibility Checks

Frontend visibility alone is not sufficient for protecting a feature, so eligibility checks have also been added to the backend.

The backend now validates whether a requesting account is eligible to access the Scratch Card functionality.

This ensures that account restrictions remain enforced even if a user attempts to bypass the frontend interface.

Unauthorized Requests Return 403

Unauthorized Scratch Card requests now return:

403 Forbidden

This provides a clear server-side security boundary around the feature.

If a restricted Web2 or Web3 account attempts to access the Scratch Card endpoints directly, the backend rejects the request instead of allowing the operation to continue.

This is an important improvement because the security rule is now enforced at both levels:

Frontend: Hide the feature from restricted users.

Backend: Reject unauthorized requests.
