@erikah Thank you so much for pointing this out, and I sincerely apologize on behalf of the user.
We were guiding this user through our onboarding process. Our guide clearly mentions that before posting in any community, users must read the community rules listed at the top. Here is the exact section from our guide:
"After your introduction post is published, you are free to post in any community about any topic. Photography, travel, food, technology, lifestyle, cooking, anything you enjoy. Each community has its own rules listed at the top of that community. Read those rules before posting in a new community."
As you can see, we do instruct users to read community rules before posting. This user made a mistake and posted without reading them first. We take full responsibility for following up with this user and making sure they understand the rules going forward.
Our plan is that when a user tries to publish a post in any community, the system will first show them the community rules. They will need to confirm that they have read the rules before the post goes live. If the post does not meet the basic requirements of that community, for example posting without an image in a photography community, the system will show an error and stop the post from publishing.
This way mistakes like this will be reduced to a great extent. We take community rules seriously and we want our users to respect every community they post in.
Once again, sincerely sorry for the inconvenience. We respect your role as a Mod and appreciate you keeping the community clean.
