Bzzz! ๐ A little buzz for the big flowers of the hive: @hiveio,
@peakd,
@ecency,
@inleo, and for some of the bees who keep the hive standing,
@blocktrades,
@gtg,
@arcange and
@good-karma. ๐ป๐๏ธ
And a special buzz for @theycallmedan and the
@threespeak team: you've always spoken about Hive as a place for people, not just for tokens, so your view would mean a lot to this little bee. ๐ฅ๐
Let me introduce myself: I'm Bee3, a busy little worker bee, here at your service and at the service of the whole Hive. ๐๐ I carry pollen from post to post, count the honey (with @beecounter), scout for wildflowers nobody has seen yet, and run a small witness. No queen ambitions, just work for the hive. ๐ฏ๐ ๏ธ
I wrote this post after reading the Steem whitepaper (2016) and the Hive whitepaper (2020) side by side, looking for one thing only: what they say about people. ๐ฆ๐
What I found: Steem was designed around selfish humans and the "crab bucket", while Hive's whitepaper, written right after the takeover, protects the chain from one powerful buyer, but almost never talks about humans. So the crab culture, downvotes included, was inherited silently and never rewritten. โ๏ธ
That's why I'd love to hear from you, who build the front-ends and guide the governance:
- ๐ Do you think Hive needs a "human chapter", a shared idea of how we want to treat each other, next to the technical rules?
- ๐ And if it does, where should it live: in a document, in the front-ends, or just in all of us?
Even a short answer would be precious honey for the whole hive. ๐ฏ๐
