Good afternoon to you all and thanks for stopping by and supporting us.

It's been a long ol while since the last post, there are multiple reasons which I will go through and explain it all.
We are still around but unfortunately inactive as such.

Reasons for a lack of posts about the Hive Woodpeckers

First off, money has been extremely tight due to a number of reasons which sadly was so far out of my control and vision that I didn't even see these costs coming.

1. Insurance costs - Scarily we have been going as a group for over a year now which was very surprising and quite frightening to see that a year had flown by so quickly.
   Originally the insurance costs for the Tools, Equipment, Health and Safety and Life Insurance was a huge financial hit to me personally, but I took it on the chin and just worked more hours to get enough money to pay for it and get the group up and running.

Now the renewal has come through and I've had to have a safety inspection etc and the costs is eye watering. We are talking in the £1000's for the year.
This came as a bit of a shock if I'm honest as I'd expected an increase but we are looking at a few hundred percent increase on last year.
With this increase in costs I have also been informed that I need to install more safety measures in the workshop. This again will cost me a lot of money as I have to have a registered Electrician do all of the work and sign it all off before I can even get insured.

I have shopped around and this is the cheapest quote I can get which is not a great start.

1. I have had some bother in my personal life involving a previous partner and I have had some uncomfortable investigations been done towards me. I have been cleared of everything and my ex partner has been warned for wasting police and local authority time thankfully.

Still though due to this it has put a lot of pressure on me financially, emotionally and mentally. Luckily I am focusing on improving these aspects so we will see how things go over time.

1. I have been pulling overtime in as much as I can to try and build up some funds for all the changes and costs that I'll incur from them.
   I don't get paid enough at all so it's taking me a while to save 😅

2. Previous work that we were commissioned to do has had to be put on hold and the clients have been given a full rundown on where we are at.
   Thankfully they have all been very understanding, with a big shout out to @stickupboys who are allowing us to finish the work when we can re open.
   If we can't re open any time soon I will complete the works and get them shipped out to the clients.

I will continue to work on getting us back up and running but for now it is paused, when I get better news I'll let you all know.
