1st Place: Dealing with Failure: Comedy but not Funny! by samiwrites@samiwrites

I have climbed several stages and spoken at several events, but not as a comedian or MC SAM. As I was approaching the stage amidst the electrifying cheers from the crowd, I started feeling funny. It was as if someone placed a heavy load on my head, and then I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my body as it heavily beat with inexplicable speed! I took the mic and can only sum up all the performances I rendered as a successful failure! It was off!

When you speak for the first time, to a crowd, it could be decimating. This author shares his experience.

2nd Place: Hivenaija-weekly prompt || Make or Break: The power of failure by sam9999@sam9999

I have not lived long enough, but I certainly have a few experience of failure, of course they are really unpalatable experiences, but it is one that has been engraved in my mind both consciously and subconsciously and definitely come to make me a better person , boy I'm so glad it didn't break me. I had this experience as a teenager in high school.

**What do you do when faced with academical failure? Do you run or do you learn? Read this story.

3rd Place: My handling of failures. by lightpen@lightpen

When I was hunting for a job, it got to the point that I was confused about what was responsible for my underemployment despite having a good grade from college...Some days, I trekked 4 kilometers to work to cut the cost of transportation. Any day I embarked on such a journey, I would be asking myself why life hadn't been smooth for me.

When all odds seem to be against you, it takes a spirit of steel to hold on!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU WOULD RECEIVE YOUR PRIZES SHORTLY...
