Why I'm Changing Some Of My 2025 Hive Crypto Goals

On New Year's Day I sat down and worked out some goals for my Hive portfolio for the coming year. I set a big stretch goal for HBD, and then a range of fairly ambitious to quite modest goals for the rest of my targeted tokens.

For the first time, I also set goals for several liquidity pools and delegations, as this screenshot shows:

The first goal I hit was the WorldMapping delegation, which I achieved in January.

In February I hit my BBH target - 20,000 BBH enables you to give out 20 BBH tips every day to posts or comments you like.

However, in March, some new circumstances caused me to review two of my liquidity pools - ALIVE/ALIVEM and SPS/SwapHive.

Liquidating Two Liquidity Pools

I heard from one of the ALIVE team that they would be stopping the bonus token rewards so I decided to liquidate the pool, and stake and delegate the tokens to Hive account@chironcentaurus to help grow that account.

Since Chiron Centaurus is dedicated to Splinterlands, I decided to liquidate the SPS/SwapHive pool and send the SPS to the Hive account@chironcentaurus Splinterlands account and stake them there.

That has given me a new goal for the rest of 2025: Grow Chiron Centaurus' staked SPS to 2,000 tokens by 31st December. To do that I need to earn about 3 liquid SPS per day on average, which should be possible if I maintain my current form on my main Splinterlands account, and if Chiron's earnings also increase as he rises through the ranks...

Buy PWR!

Liquidating my SPS/SwapHive pool left me with a nice little pot of SwapHive to buy PWR and speed up my progress in growing my new PWR/SwapHive pool.

Before I liquidated the SPS/SwapHive pool progress in building the PWR pool was slow because I was constantly sending SPS winnings from Splinterlands to Hive-Engine to add to the pool, which was absorbing most of my SwapHive earnings. Now, I can send my spare SPS to Hive account@chironcentaurus and focus solely on building the PWR/SwapHive pool with my SwapHive earnings.

One More Goal!

Another goal that I added to the list, to replace the ALIVE pool, is to delegate 1,000 ALIVE tokens to Hive account@heartbeatonhive by the end of the year.

How I Will Achieve My HBD Stretch Goal?

Bearing in mind that I don't invest any of my hard-earned yen or dollars into any of my crypto projects, how on earth am I going to achieve my stretch goal for HBD, and jump from 5,066 HBD on New Year's Day to 12,000 HD on New Year's Eve?

That is where Bitcoin comes in... IF the bull market is still in play and Bitcoin goes on a mega rally, breaking All Time High after All Time High, then I am hoping to sell off a chunk and invest in Hive and HBD!
