At first it looks as if white can simply pick up the loose knight on e3, but that merely regains material equality. To win material, let's first sacrifice one of the knights - the b3 or c4 knight, it doesn't seem to matter which - with Na5+ which is forking the king and queen. To avoid losing the queen, black plays b6xa5. Now Nxa5+ and the queen falls. Whether the king or the knight takes the c6 knight, Rxe3 follows. On the other hand, if the king moves onto the a-file after Nxa5+ then Nxc6+ (discovered check) and it's even worse for black!
- Nc4 a5+ bxa5
- Nxa5+ Kb6
- Nxc6 Nxc6
- Rxe3
Is one possible sequence which wins the queen for white.
