The Second Touch
MARK 8:23-25
23 He took the blind man by he hand and led him outside the village. When he had spat on the man's eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked; "Do you see anything?"
24 He looked up and said, "I see people, they look like trees walking around."
25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
Beloved, the account in the bible passage was about a blind man at Bethsaida. The people who brought the blind man begged Jesus to touch him. They knew from the beginning that Jesus could give the blind man his sight back. They've seen and had heard of Jesus' miracles. They begged on the blind man's behalf. Jesus, who is ever compassionate, listened to their plea to restore the man's sight.
So many of us believers are like the blind man; we all have needs. Just as the blind man needed a touch from the master Jesus to receive his sight, we all need the touch of the same master Jesus to meet our needs. Your need and my need may not necessarily be the restoration of sight to physical blindness. It could be a yearning of your inner most desire, freedom from oppressions and intimidations, job provisions, financial breakthrough, marital bless and so on... All you need is a touch from Jesus. That second touch from master Jesus to put our life and state in order. The second touch that can restore lost hopes and glory.
Prayer
I pray for you today, that the power in the second touch of Jesus will perfect all that is concerning you in Jesus' name... (AMEN!)
The 'Hope Beckons' series started last year as a way to motivate as many as possible through the Holy Scripture(Bible) with prayers to accompany each series. This year, I intend to make the 'Hope Beckons' series more inspiring and cheerful by introducing: 'Hope Beckons - Share&Care. Hope Beckons- Share&Care will only feature every mid-week(Wednesday) as an act of kindness to my followers on the Hope Beckons series.
The modalities to participate for the 'Hope Beckons - Share&Care' are under way and would be communicated to us in due time.
