Grace for the Lost

Luke 15:17-20

17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!
18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.
20 So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

The above bible verse is taken from the parable of the prodigal son. A lost son who lost his sense by asking for his own share of inheritance even while the Father lived. He lost his sense by squandering his inherited wealth in wild living. He lost his sense that he had to eat food meant for pigs.

But one day, his story changed. He found grace. He came to his senses and took that decision that marked a turnaround for his status.

I may not know how lost and and senseless your case might have been, but I say to you that there is hope. I may not know the treasures/pleasures of the world that your are enjoying now that have rendered you distant and senseless from God the Father. Grace to receive sense has come. The sense to make a U-turn and return the Father.

All you need to do to is to make that personal, self conscious decision to return to God, the Father. For it is only in God that we have true rest and genuine pleasure that has no sorrow in it.

Why not come to you senses now that the grace is still available? Admit to your wrong doings, by confessing it all to God. Confess and forsake your frugality, sexual desires, backbiting, gossip, anger, hatred for others, idolatry, and all worldly vices.

I pray that Grace for forgiveness and acceptance be richly available unto you as you take those decisions to return to God, the Father in Jesus' name... (AMEN!)
