Be Guided: Bad Communication Corrupts Good Character

1 CORINTHIANS 15:33-34

33 Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."
34 Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God --- I say that to your shame.

It is so common this days to see people, even believers make jest with the things of God. It is no longer strange to see Christian brothers and sisters engage in ungodly and negative communication with unbelievers.

I have heard some brethren give various and vague reasons for such ungodly company and communication with unbelievers.

"You have to act like one of them to be able to change them or convert them to Christ."

Do not be deceive, sooner than later those you actually wanted to change will be the one to change you to their own ways and manners.

Do you still engage in negative confessions? Do you still keep unholy companionship with the friends of your old self. Sooner or later you will be like the eaglet that was lived and died a chicken because of it constant involvement with fowls. I say to you; "awake to righteousness."

Beloved, don't be misled, don't be deceived, let's not be joined with the those with evil communication. Let's us shun bad company like a plague. Let's us avoid evil communication like a serpent bite for its poison is capable to corrupt your entire being.

Prayer

I ask that the Lord who guides and direct the ways of His chosen ones keep you in the company of those that will sharpen and spur you to righteousness with God in Jesus' name...(AMEN!)
