Be the Light and let it shine!
MATTHEW 5:14-16
14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
You are the light of the world. Glow and let your light so shine before all men to glorify your father in Heaven.
Every light has a source; be it a natural source or an artificial source. We as the children of hope, the sons and the daughter of light have our source in our heavenly father. He has so blessed us with all gifts. Let your gift and talents bring glory to God by showing other ways to Christ.
Your good deeds, those little act of kindness, that bread you shared with someone in need, that home you accommodated a strange to rest in are ways of shinning your light to all men.
Someone once said that we as Christians are the bible the people of the world are reading. You also is the light that the people of the world are tilting towards to for direction and guidance.
Prayer
Lord, I ask that you help us stay connected and plugged to you at all time so that our light will not go off. Let our light shine before men and women, let it lead both the old and the young and also light the way to you in Jesus' name... (AMEN!)
Addition to the 'Hope Beckons' Series
