This reminds me of the old Friendster times where you could customize your page with different backgrounds and themes just like this, and with music too if you want lol. Those early 2000s design (Y2k?) era is also something that I miss since right now everything has become bland and minimalist.

I do agree that sometimes it would be more preferable to have a simple UI especially on sites like this where a lot of reading is needed but customization is a great option too.

I don't have design experience so I would only rely on my observations and pattern recognition if I am to do so, but if someone reaches out to ask for some advice I would be willing to help. Whether it be from an artist's perspective or just a regular user. :D
