The monochrome looks nice, though I wouldn't necessarily say better than the other one. I think the monochrome one looks "too harsh" for the highlights that it reminds me of horror-style photographs, or probably because of the somewhat greenish tone.

The first one gives kinda a film vibe and I think that suits it better. But still it depends on what you're going for. :D
