Good thing you went to the hospital right after noticing the signs. A lot of these things can be missed especially if you're the only one at home to take care of the baby. Even 3rd time mothers will have mistakes as well, so props to you still for questioning if it's normal rather than ignoring and believe that it was.. and you didn't wait until there were very clear signs of struggle.
