I have not kept a dream journal but am very attentive to what my dreams are trying to tell me or sort out. They also tend to be very vivid and easy to remember once I wake up. Usually I spend a few minutes each morning pondering them.
Lately ive been going through a lot of upheaval in my life. Journey wise, where ive bern forced to move to, and the loss of a relationship with two dearly loved people.
My dreams have been a mix of me exploring a new city. Its an unfamiliar city that's a mix of all my past cities ive ever lived in. Mostly a los angeles like city. I had terrible experiences that left me broken living in los angeles. Experiences that needed healing. These new dreams i think are me trying to sort away those feelings into places where i can move on from them, while at the same time accepting the experiences instead of trying to stigmatise them or bury them.
I also am haunted by one of my departed loved ones. I just recently have lost a relationship with someone who was the love of my life. She had a little fatherless boy and i became his father for a few years. I loved (still do) that boy more than anything in my entire life. But now hes gone and with zero communication. I am haunted nightly with him in my dreams. The last one he saw me and called me dad. Ran up to me and hugged me. He then asked "dad are you really here? Are you really real?" I woke up before i could answer. I think the dream was my subconscious trying nyo sort its feeling about lossing a boy that was a son to me. And one of my deepest fears. Will he remember me? Will i just be a fading ghost like memory of a person he vaguely remembers from his early childhood. And my hopes too that he grows on strong without me and that my love made a positive impact on him that he can take with him forever.
