Samsung 2017 smartphones play the race to the screen size. The Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus have surpassed their respective ancestors, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, and now the Galaxy Note 8 is about to take another giant step ...

SlashLeaks got a new rendering that fits perfectly with the official shots of Olixar's Galaxy Note 8. It shows that the phone will have an Infinity display that fills an even larger proportion of the front panel compared to the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus. This is in line with the multiple notes on the Galaxy Note 8 which should proudly display a huge 6.3-inch screen, some 0.6 inches longer than the 5.7-inch "explosive" Galaxy Note 7.

The rendering also shows that the Galaxy Note 8 will have the same aspect lengthened 19.5: 9 as the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus, which makes the phones larger and more complicated to use with one hand.

This new information makes sense because Samsung generally applies (and refines) the latest technological advances introduced in each new generation of Galaxy S with the launch of each new version of the Galaxy Note later in the year. A screen size of 6.3 inches could potentially be a concern for some users, but that remains to be seen.

The Galaxy Note 8 will also be equipped with two cameras, as well as a headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor located at the back, something somewhat stupid.

The fact that the latter is a bottleneck for potential consumers will probably depend on the fact that the iPhone 8 is experiencing the same pitfall, as suggested by two leaks last week. Samsung definitely hopes
