As a small content creator I don't mind only earning a buck or two on average per post. I do it to grow my community, to share my work with the world, and for the future hopes of earning larger amounts.

It's going to get very frustrating though if the progress goes backwards as a result of seemingly arbitrary reward curve changes. I definitely don't hear anybody talking about author rewards being too high.
