Paying people to leave comments on your posts (bounties, etc) is not a good idea in my opinion. I think it's better to use money on advertising of some kind. Paying for ads is a reasonable way to drive

yeah with people talking steem politics all day it's extra hard to appeal to new users. but, what can you do? self-referential content is popular on all platforms -- youtube videos about youtube, tweets

Yup it is my post my feelings have not changed too much honestly -- i still think the core idea of steem (come here and make money!) is not very honest, because you can't make much money here without paying
