Cebu City is famous for a a lot of food destinations and a lot of food stalls. This is probably the thing I love most about strolling Downtown Cebu City.
Today's agenda included running errands and getting documents notarized at the Cebu City Hall. Next up on the list is finding delicious yet budget-friendly snacks and meals. Downtown Cebu is known for its variety of food stalls and affordable options. From snacks to ala carte meals, there are plenty of choices within the corners of the downtown area. While there are also numerous restaurants and street vendors, I will be focusing on the food stalls sold on the streets. Join me as I hunt for the best food stalls in downtown Cebu City, Philippines.
At the right corner of the Basilica Minori del Santo Niño, you'll find a bustling crowd of people. Street vendors selling water, lemon juice, cotton candies, and balloons can be found near the highway. Although there are many people on the streets, always remember to use the pedestrian lane while crossing the street to ensure safety and avoid accidents.
I saw this man selling tempura so I had to buy some. It was twenty pesos for four pieces with free cucumber and free sea weeds. This tempura is not only delicious but also budget-friendly, making it a popular choice among many.
As I walked around the area, I came across numerous stalls selling religious relics of the famous Sto. Niño , the patron saint of Cebu City, Philippines. These stalls were filled with all sorts of religious artifacts, including rosaries and saint structures, that were being sold all over the place.
While exploring the streets of downtown Cebu City, Philippines, I stumbled upon numerous food stalls selling a variety of delicious meals. Hot dog sandwiches, shells on sticks, and cheese dogs were some of the popular options. The prices were quite reasonable with hot dog sandwiches costing around 50 pesos, 5 pesos per stick of those shells and 30 pesos for cheese dogs paired with a drink which cost 10 pesos. Overall, it was a delightful culinary experience!
After strolling around downtown Cebu City, I headed to one of the oldest malls in the area - the Super Metro Colon branch. I had some errands to run and items to buy, but before that, I stopped by the food court. It's been around for quite some time and is a popular spot among locals. While there, I stumbled upon a modeling contest for children held on the food court's stage. While enjoying the show, I grabbed a Shawarma wrap and a milk tea to satisfy my hunger and thirst. It was the perfect snack to recharge after a long walk.
Leylam Shawarma is definitely one of my favorite brands as well! For only 90 pesos, you can treat yourself to a delicious beef wrap. And if you're a cheese lover like me, adding an extra 15 pesos for cheese is definitely worth it. To complement my snack, I decided to grab a winter melon tea from a popular milk tea brand. It was the perfect drink to wash down the savory shawarma. While enjoying my snack, I had the pleasure of watching a modeling show in front of me. It was truly amazing to see all of the talented children showcase their skills and gain confidence through this extracurricular activity. Kudos to the parents who support their children's passions and hobbies!
After a day of searching for food stalls, I decided to head back to my apartment. Downtown Cebu City, Philippines has indeed a lot of amazing food vendors that offer a variety of delectable treats which I highly recommend indulging in.
