“The greener the setting, the more the relief”. 🌿- Richard Louv
I certainly agree to that. There is just so much relief that a green scenery provides. Come with us today as we go on another adventure on one of the famous nature park here in Busay, Cebu, City, Philippines. We will take a dip at the swimming pool of the famous Mountain View Nature’s Park.
One of my favorite ways to relieve stress is by taking a road trip. I particularly enjoy driving through the foggy streets of Busay and heading towards Balamban. The frigid climate and long rains make it the perfect destination for a relaxing journey. Long rides have always been a great way for me to unwind and leave my stress behind.
Today is no ordinary day. I am thrilled to be embarking on a road trip with my son. He is living in the province, while I continue to reside in the city for work purposes. As a result, we only get to spend time together during my days off. Today is the perfect day for us to go on an adventure to the Mountain View Nature’s Park.
How to get here in Mountain View Nature’s Park - Busay, Cebu City, Philippines?
If you have your own private vehicle, you can browse through Waze or Google Map the exact location which is Roosevelt Drive, Sitio Garahe, Busay, Cebu City. If you are public commuting, you can ride a 04H jeepney from JY Lahug. The jeepney will not enter the area, so you’ll have to walk for approximately ten to twenty minutes going up to the Mountain View Resort from the street corner.
This is the way heading to Mountain View and it is very easy to locate since there are arrows and directions heading to the place.
Didn’t knew I had a store here in Busay, lol. Kidding aside. You will see Jian’s Store on the right corner. This is the opposite side of the street corner heading to the Mountain View Nature’s Park.
There are a lot of tourists spots here on the same direction as the Mountain View Nature Park such as : Little Kyoto, Soul Sierra, La•sa, Temple of Leah and Mountain View Nature’s Park and Chixboy, these are some of the most famous places to visit here in Busay, Cebu City, Philippines.
We have our own motorcycle so we really saved a lot on the fare. We are also renting an apartment here in Lahug so it is just near the Busay area which is just a ten to fifteen minute drive from our place. This nature park is really accessible for us.
If you are planning to visit here, take a look at their prices. The staff gave me a brochure. Here’s what’s inside the brochure.
We paid at the entrance which is ₱200 because there were four of us and the entrance fee is ₱50 per head. For children three years and below, they are free of admission.
We then went up to the pool area. The roads are quite steep and if you are looking for the perfect place to hike, this is it. You’ll totally sweat yourself out once you reach the pool area.
As you walk from the main entrance to the pool area, you'll be met with a challenging yet beautiful view. The path is steep but the surrounding trees and plants provide a refreshing ambiance, and the fresh air and birdsong will help you relax.
Here are the pool prices. Good thing they accept cashless payments here.
Upon arrival at the pool area entrance, pay the entrance fee as shown in the photos provided. The staff will then provide you with a wristband to confirm that you have paid the fee and can enter the pool area. The entrance fee is 100 pesos per person. We paid four hundred pesos.
This is the way going to the pool area. What a scenic view indeed.
As a mother, one of my greatest joys is watching my son explore new places and travel to destinations he's never been to before. I want to fill his memory banks with positive experiences and lasting memories. Growing up, my parents took me to many places, and I want my son to experience the same thing. Traveling to different places, experiencing new cultures, and trying out new restaurants and resorts is crucial for his growth and development. Spending time with your child and family is essential to building a strong bond and camaraderie.
There are different sets of swimming pools and the deepest is around four feet therefore most of the pools are really child-friendly. I really love that the pools here are safe for children. They also have lifejackets for rent.
At Mountain View Nature's Park, the swimmers behind my son are renting life jackets for safety. Although my son is a proficient swimmer and can manage up to five feet without assistance, I still keep a watchful eye on him. While he learned how to swim independently during our numerous beach trips, I always prioritize his safety and well-being.
The best thing about dipping into the pools of Mountain View Nature's Park is that you get the three sixty view of Cebu City. It is a view overlooking the whole Cebu City and the view is definitely breath-taking!
To our surpise, a rainbow came out to say HI!
There are rooms available for overnight stays and it is best for tourists who are tired from swimming or those who have long travel times and prefer to stay overnight. The prices can be seen on the brochure I posted above.
They even have a videoke for rent which is ₱5.00 per song.
Filipinos are known to enjoy video karaoke, especially when spending time at the beach or pool. It's a fun activity to do with friends and loved ones, especially when paired with beer or liquor. And if you're not into drinking, singing along is just as enjoyable.
We had a great time swimming at Mountain View Nature’s Park, Busay, Cebu City, Philippines. The swimming pool was refreshing, and the view of the city was spectacular. The sound of the birds and the cool breeze made it even better. One of the highlights of our trip was when a rainbow appeared. It was such a relief to see it, and it reminded us that tomorrow is a new day and everything will be better. I hope you can experience that as well. It is our first time to visit here and definitely not the last.
Til our next adventure. Ciao!☺︎♡
