Greetings Hivers, I hope you are all very well, in this opportunity I am going to tell you how it was and what happened to my sister to be operated.
For some time my sister has been presenting a pain in the lower abdomen, more or less by the belly, she at the time thought it was an inginal hernia, but to make an echo in that area turned out to be an eventration.
An eventration, according to the ROYAL SPANISH ACADEMY, is the exit of the viscera, mainly the intestines and omentum, from the inside of the belly, by a wound that tears the abdominal wall or by weakening of this wall.
Although hers did not come out at all, the discomfort was there and when we discovered the diagnosis we had to mount us so that the operation would be as soon as possible; here in Venezuela an operation of that magnitude at a private level is very expensive, so we had to go to a public hospital and go expediting everything through there.
We spent practically the whole month of May in that, between her husband, my other sister and I took turns to accompany her in each of the consultations, either with the surgeon and with the anesthesiologist, in fact I had to go 2 Sundays in a row and we waited from 10:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon in the hospital to talk to those doctors, the good thing was that we always say that we will take things calmly and in a good way, otherwise everything goes wrong and it is useless.
The date of the operation was given relatively quickly, so she was operated on last Friday, thank God everything went very well, her recovery has been satisfactory, she has not felt any discomfort or pain, they placed what the doctors call "A pump", which is really a concentrate of painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs that are graduated to pass every few hours through the vein automatically and so there is no pain, as far as I could see it is very good.
While my brother in law stayed the.night of hospitalization with her, I took care of the food for both of them, especially his, since he is diabetic and his food must be without carbohydrates or sugar, the next day my other sister stayed, while I continued in the same, I took them breakfast, lunch and dinner.
He was discharged on Saturday, he is staying for the moment with our older sister, he has had no pain, no strange symptoms, his recovery has been very good, I have even been his nurse 馃ぃ馃ぃ馃ぃ馃ぃ something I have not done with anyone.
I hope everything keeps flowing the same, he has been keeping rest to no end, I think the success of any operation is a good rest.
