Okay here we go. I never have my devices plugged in all the time. A 5 dollar / euro jar wouldn't work for me either because I live on such a tight budget that I can not put a 5 dollar / euro aside in a jar, IF it would happen that I had that in my wallet but that also doesn't happen much. I plan all my shopping. I only go to the supermarket once a week, with a list of groceries that I need for one week. And that isn't much because I cook meals for 2 or 3 days a week and plan beforehand what that would cost me. if it comes above a certain amount, I skip / switch those ingredients for others to make it within my budget. I don't have a subscription for my mobile phone. So I only make phonecalls in case of emergency. Never use internet data when I don't have wifi. I don't buy water because indeed tapwater is good in the netherlands so why waste my money on water?
I don't have much savings unfortunately ... but the little money I have I need to pay my bills and for a living. My fridge is always on the same temperature. Selling old things, before I can do that ... I have to be able to buy new first. Oh I don't have tv/internet/phoneplan ... we only watch the free to air programas through satellite, so the only cost is internet ... and we already have the cheapest available, so it's really snailspeed but hey, it works.
That's why none of the above would work for me.
