England knocked arch-rivals Germany out of the European Championships and secured a place in the quarter-finals with a convincing 2-0 victory. Harry Maguire was named the player of the match and also had a few words to say about his national team.
It has been some tough years for everyone in this country, so it's great to give people the smile back. "We are not done yet and we have a match again on Saturday," Harry Maguire told the BBC.
We had to be brave both with and without the ball, even under pressure. We changed formation to put pressure on them with the ball because they want to be in ball possession. Except for the first ten minutes, I think we implemented the plan quite well, says Maguire.
Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane scored the goals for England.
