It looks wonderful, a bit like Doom running on very low-end PCs (only the resolution is a bit too high, but that's a minor issue ;P). It's clear from this tech demo/proof of concept that it's not entirely the game's code. At least, that's how I understood the video you posted. Is it ray-casting? Emulating the original code using it? Aside from minor issues like units crashing into walls, expanding/shrinking item textures, and zooming in on things like gates, this project looks really promising.
