I would like to see an anime someday that would show the practical use of prostitutes in terms of spying. Lupin III touched on the subject of secret services a bit (one of the last 3 seasons), but from a different angle, and it was done really well. The potential is enormous, which allows you to lead such a page in different ways. From the perspective of several different characters (something like Game of Thrones), from the perspective of the proverbial brothel-mom taking care of her "girls", from the perspective of ordinary women who take care of their Lord or Lady's guests, extracting information from them. Or you can combine it with other aspects - competition with other corporations. In the case of women, it would require the assumption that Japan is slightly less conservative and patriarchal than it is, but it could be somehow bypassed. And you could also mix other genres - add some erotica, like in anime about Mine Fujiko or Nana. Or push the political theme more and come up with some intrigue, that a group of the best Japanese prostitutes have to get some information from an Asian country that rivals Japan.
