The Bangladesh Liberation War


The Bangladesh Liberation War also know as the Bangladesh war of Independence, was a revolution and armed conflict sparked by the rise of the Bangali nationalist and self-determination movement in what was then East Pakistan during the 1971 Bangladesh genocide. It resulted in the independence of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.











  • The students of the university of Dhaka and other political activists defied the law and organised a protest on 21 February 1952. The movement reached its climax when police killed student demonstrators on that day.
  • Then.... The central government relented and granted official status to the bengali language in 1956. In 1999, UNESCO declared 21 February as International Mother Language Day.
  • Then.... Year of 1956 to 1970 is many collation.
  • Then.... The 7 March Speech of Bangabandhu was a speech given by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, The founding father of Bangladesh on 7 March 1971 at the Ramna Race Course.

  • Then... Many collation  25 march to 16 December is.
  • Then.... The war ended on 16 December 1971 after West Pakistan surrendered.
