Marriage is one of the wonderful things in life but not everybody see it that way. To some it's like giving up your freedom and being under the control of another. Well, I would that's it may look but not how it is. Marriage will limit you in some way. You can't make decisions just for yourself without considering your partner.
You would have to be submissive to another person especially on the side of the woman. As a woman, being submissive to your husband does not mean you have sold your freedom. As a husband loving your wife and attending to her needs does not limit you in anyway, that's what makes you a responsible man.
I believe it's all about the kind of person you marry that determines whether your marriage will look like a haven or hell. Many who find themselves in unhealthy marriages suffer different kind of abuses making them regret never to have entered the marriage journey in the first place.

A right person is the one who truly understands you and would give you that freedom you have enjoyed mostly in your single life. This is not to say you will have a freedom without restraint but you feel as if you were still single.
Those who have married right and enjoying their marriages understands the need to give each other space, respect each other and see marital duties as a shared responsibility. There is nothing like slavery in marriage.
