The above song by Elijah Oyelade titled "Calvary" is a soul searching song that reminds the listener of the price that Christ paid on the cross to save him/her and why that price must not be in vain. Every time I listen to it, it makes me evaluate my stand with Christ. The cross has brought us bountiful grace that must not be taken for granted. It is because of what happened at calvary that we can now approach God with Christ as our high priest and mediator.
Calvary was a painful experience but the only way through which mankind could be saved and God did not hold back. He gave his only begotten son to be slain for the sins of all. He was the one true sacrifice that brought us into the new testament. On calvary's tree, stood the perfect lamb and sacrifice that all who will look upon it will be saved and cleansed from all their sins. This is a free gift offered to all who will believe on the name of Jesus Christ and accept him as Lord and Savior over their lives.
For those who refuse this free gift of calvary, calvary's would have been in vain then in their lives but not for those who accept the gift.
So the question is a personal one.
Will calvary be in vain in your life?
Only you can decide this depending on what you choose to do with the free gift of calvary.
