They would have swallowed us alive in their burning anger.
The waters would have engulfed us, a torrent would have overwhelmed us.
Yes, the ragging waters of their fury would have overwhelmed our very lives...
Psalm 124:1-5

It is a calamity not to have the Lord on yourside.

You are who you are because of the Lord, you have come this far because the Lord was onside. You are alive today because the Lord was on your side. We have fought and won spiritual battles because the Lord was on our side.

You survived that car crash,sickness, temptations, tragedy and disaster because the Lord was on our side.

Your marriage survived because the Lord was on your side. You won the contract because the Lord was on your side.

You are the professor, doctor, managing director, pastor, inventor, engineer or artist today because the Lord was on our side.

So you see that we are what we are today because Elohim was with us.

If it had not been the Lord, where would you have been?

THE GIFT OF LIFE

Life is a free gift given to us from God for free of charge.

You are living because the Lord is on your side. It is not because of your riches or wealth.

It is not by eating good food or taking quality drugs or by going to the best healthcare centre.

Have you considered the fact that others were treated by the same doctor who diagnosed you but they couldn't make it?

People are in the mortuary today not because they couldn't afford the cost of their hospital bills, or they were wicked in the eyes of God or they did not deserve to live- NO

Our life is under constant threats and attacks, both spiritual and physical but because God is on our side, we fear no evil. David told us in Psalm 91:7 that;

Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you"

My brother, look at how people are dying around you, businesses collapsing, sicknesses on the rise, farmine and hunger on the increase in some countries and terrorist attacks destroying lives.

Cast your mind on how wars have destroyed a whole country, claiming innocent lives and properties. People losing their lives mysteriously etc.

Yet inspite of all these things happening around us we are not affected.

What have we done to deserve such a free gift, it is because of God been on our side.

You think that better house, that good wife and that plenty money you have is by your power, NO. Because if not for God where would you have been?

Beloved let us not forget to thank Him for all the wonderful things He has done.

Three things would have happened to us if the Lord was not on our side.

WE WOULD HAVE BEEN SWALLOWED ALIVE.

We were once a prey in the devil's trap but the death of Jesus has set us free from the trap. We were in the bondage of sin and as a result the devil used us to do as he pleases.

But Jeses Christ brought us redemption and paved the way for our escape.

Satan's anger has been unleashed because he couldn't destroy us as he wanted.

So if it is not the Lord that came to our rescue we would have been a meat in his mouth.

The enemy plotted a lot of misfortunes, sorrow, sickness, accidents, failure etc against us but glory be to God that He came to our aid. No wonder the scriptures have already promised us that,

No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Is 54:17

Satan would had never missed his target if not the Lord on our side. Thank you Jesus.

My friend I just want you to know that it has been God all this along. Both in the good times and the bad.

WE WOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED BY WATER

King David was trying to tell the Israelites that because of the mighty hand of God, they were able to pass through the Red see without any danger.

The water here represents obstacles/hindrances. The red sea was a hindrance to the Israelites but God made a way where there seemed to be none.

Pharaoh and his warriors would have been happy to see the red sea covering the Israelites completely but because the Creator was with them it didn't happen.

God did not create a different route beside the red sea but rather He made a way through it.

There is always a way out through your troubles not beside them.

Your success will come through your failures and difficulties, your joy will come through your sorrows and God will glorify you through your mockery.

May you receive that in Jesus name.

God is on your side even in the deep waters, in your sorrows, hardships, betrayal and pains. He is by your side- Thus you are never alone.

Just as God made a way through the red sea, i prophesy that may He make a way for you through your obstacles.

THE TORRENT WOULD HAVE OVERWHELMED US.

People commits suicide because they feel defeated by their predicaments.

That is what happens when the schemes of our enemies overwhelm us. We feel absolutely defeated by shame, hardship, death, jail sentence etc.

But with the Lord on our side we can rise up and win the battle. Hallelujah!!!

Beloved, if Jesus Christ has not won the battle yet, don't conceed defeat and throw in the towel.

But glory be to God because the battle has already been won.

Rom 8:37

No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us........ because we overcame them by the blood of the Lamb. Rev 12:11

My dear, you are an overcomer because the Lord is on your side.

Satan can scatter your friends, destroy your family, collapse the business but this one thing he can not do and that is driving the Lord away from your side.

If we consider all these things, then we will know that we own it all to the LORD.
