Summary of what i learnt;
Baptism has the power to change our life spiritually and physically, that's to say it will help us to grow when the right baptism is administered into our lives but when we don't do the right thing, there will be no change. For example is the baptism done by
the Catholic because it's wrong to baptize someone as a child or an infant.
Baptism means washing away of sin and redemption of sin whereby renewing the inner man by the Holy Spirit. True baptism is the one taught and recognized by Christ, performed by John the Baptist, as a footsteps to follow. All the commandments of God should be done in the house of God including baptism and not just anywhere.
Whatsoever is commanded by God should be done diligently in the house of God.
Titus 3:5
KJV:Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Acts 22:16
KJV:And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Ezra 7:23
KJV:Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
The law of the Lord has a jurisdiction, there is a place of the Law. The law of God has efficacy in the house of God.
Romans 3:19
KJV:Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God
The house of God is the church of the Living God.
1 Timothy 3:15
KJV:But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
When you are been baptized, you should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The true baptism is the one done in the name of Jesus.
Matthew 28:19
KJV:Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Acts 2:38
KJV:Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Ephesians 4:4
KJV:According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Baptism should be carried out in one body and that body is the body of Christ.
Colossians 1:18
KJV:And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Baptism is the second step to follow after accepting Christ as your lord. It's very important.
