The #ladiesofhive community is known to always release prompts that make you see things or rather life from different perspectives, even when you have never given it a thought before. This week, we speak about the inevitability of death.
Death is inevitable. This is beyond our control to prevent it from happening. What would you do if you were to learn that your death is imminent? Will you fight for your life to live longer for your loved ones? Or will you keep it not to be a burden to them, and just wait for your time? Explain why?
No one wants to die untimely or without having to leave a mark during their lifetime. But this days death is inevitable, it happens like a flash and unexpectedly especially to people you would not have thought of. At the beginning of this year, we lost a vibrant, calm and responsible young lady at church to the cold hands of death. It all started as a slight as a headache, then body pains and then it escalated to the extent that they kept referring her to different hospitals until she gave up. This lady was an active Christian, she was dutiful and a loving mother. She encouraged youths and supported the growth of the church. It was such a big loss to lose Mrs Benedicta馃様馃槶
But back to prompt, What would you do if you were to learn that your death is imminent? This is scary and I believe I do not what to be a victim of circumstances where I get to hear that I have just 3months to live. But hypothetically, If thats the case, I will fight o. I believe in miracles, so while do all that is necessary that get that that miracle, I would also do stuffs that would improve my impact here on earth. As a Christian, living a worthy life is more of an accomplishment than anything else.
In essence, being conscious of my mortality will enable to push further and cherish every bit of my existence on earth. It would make me live a purposeful life and do things I have not contemplated of doing.
will you keep it not to be a burden to them, and just wait for your time? In this case, I think i would inform my loved ones about the situation and hopefully they would help me get through it as well. I do not see it as a burden to them, but a means to reconnect lost times and rekindle that family bond that we all share during my last days.
