El novio pollero es un sabroso y jocoso merengue caraqueño.
En Youtube conseguí un maravilloso video de la película llamada "Dos Gallos en Palenque" con el humorista venezolano Julián Pacheco y el comediante mexicano "El Piporro" Eulalio González, grabada en Caracas el año 1959, donde cantan Los Criollos y Julián Pacheco éste sabroso merengue.
En el año 1983 salió un disco de Cecilia Todd con temas cañoneros y ahí está incluído El novio pollero, la canción de inmediato se popularizó.
Hoy se las presento a ustedes acompañada "una vez más" por mi hermano
