Red is a color full of strength, color of blood, danger, fire, and roses. Red symbolizes life, but it is also regarded as an aggressive, vitality, and strong color.
Before chemical paint was discovered at the end of the 19th century, it was very difficult to get a good, bright, faded, washable red color. 3000 years ago, Phoenician describes how to extract the paint from molluscs (a kind of snail called Murex truncalus) to get red and purple. However, for this purpose, it takes a lot of molluscs and the cost is very expensive. No wonder the red color is primarily intended for the royal family. This is why the Roman emperor used a toga with purple stripes to show his dignity.
The dye beetle from Mexico was destroyed to get red paint, and the Spaniards took it to Europe in the early 1500s. Red is the color of the kingdom during the middle ages and remains the color of the Kingdom of Great Britain. Red became the main color of the flag of the United States and Canada.
The Red Carpet Event is often associated with royalty, performances, and celebrations. When there are ceremonial events, there is usually a red carpet, although the red carpet was first performed in 1934. The term was adopted from the advertising industry, as stores sought customers by promising to roll out the red carpet. Fortunately they do not have to hunt for mollusks to get red.
